About Me

Before I began writing professionally, I was already drawn to the questions behind the questions. I wanted to understand how decisions were made, how power moved and how individual lives fit into larger systems. That instinct led me to start writing music reviews for Creative Loafing as a junior in college, and it evolved into newsroom roles in Tampa and Washington, D.C., where I interviewed lawmakers, artists and people navigating consequential moments in their lives.

I later served as editor-in-chief of the mechanical watch publication hr:Watches, where I oversaw editorial strategy and longform features in a niche industry built on craft, design and history. Over the past ten years, my reporting has focused on personal finance, investing, mortgages, student loans, cryptocurrency and artificial intelligence, amonth other topics, with an emphasis on explaining complex systems in ways that are accurate, clear and useful. My work is grounded in primary documents, expert sourcing and meticulous fact-checking. I am collaborative, deadline-driven and rigorous in execution.

In parallel, I have worked in marketing agencies as a creative lead on national campaigns for Ford, CVS and Walmart. I have written and produced a short film, was nominated for the Pushcart Prize and have participated in selective writing programs and conferences. Across formats, I approach each project with the same standard: clarity, precision and respect for the audience.
